Victorian Lady

Now CAS cards are not easy for me, but sometimes less is more !!

This is the July sketch for Woodwares monthy challenge,

and this is what I did with it !!

Now I will be honest and say the reason it turned out to be a clean and simple card.....was I ran out of  clear embossing powder !! But I think that was probably a good thing.........

The Woodware stamp set is called "Victorian Lady" by Francoise Read. I stamped the images onto white card and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Then used several different colours of distress ink to colour the card, then buffed over the images with a tissue. The lace frill is made from dollies which I coloured again with distress inks, cut out the middle and then pleated round the main image and both sides of the band. Stamped the sentiment, then added the tiny black dots either side of the sentiment and round the oval image and both sides of the band.

A clean and simple card !!

Thanks for playing, it may be clean and simple but it was still a lot of work! I like the glove border and the doilly ruffles really well.

Fab card, love the lace. At least the colours make us think of Summer even if the weather doesn't.
