Scraps

Most people exercise their brains with a crossword puzzle or Sudoku.........my brain I challenge to make something out of scraps !!

Remember these scraps from my card club makes ??

Well not much left......but I made two cards !!

Used a few of the white card bits up on this first cute one. Made some daises and used the circle waste piece to emboss with dots to make a frame. The cute little girl is from a set of stamps by Woodware.

The second card I have used the waste heart and heart punched shape and cut out the small roses using a Tim Holtz die from the red guilded polish waste.

Oh I do love playing with small bits of paper !!

Card Club

Yesterday at card club we had fun playing with Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Guilding Polish, really liked them, but just wish they came in smaller pots.

On the first card we embossed then went over with polish, cover a piece of white card completely with two colours and then on another panel stamped with polish.

The second card we embossed again then cut into quarters, covered white card and then die cut a sentiment and flowers. The polish will also cover gems !!

Two lovely finished cards.

Now what to make with the leftover little bits.....

Hope your all having a wonderful fun weekend !!

Doo Lally Pip

Them's that know me..know I love my Doo Lally Pip stamps by Lindsay Mason and this one is a new one just bought, but the sentiment is from another set.

Think the flies round the scruffy dog are just fab !!

Made a background using Dylusion spray inks and then used distress inks and a crackle stamp on top. Stamped then fussy cut out the boy and dog. coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and mounted onto front with 3D foam tape. Hand drew the ground with some grass using a fine liner black pen. Mounted this panel onto orange card, then a green card base which I also stamped onto using the crackle stamp.

Something Old, Nothing New

Hope you all had a fabby do weekend !!

Mondays roll round so fast for me,   do they for you ??

Anyhoo time for another fun House Mouse and Friends Challenge chosen by teamie Torrey and heres what she has to say about it.........
.........................................

It's the end of May...do you know what wacky holiday is around this time?
Pack Rat Day (May 17)
In support of this most-ilustrious day,  I challenge you to raid your coveted stash of crafty goodies and use
ONLY OLD STUFF FROM YOUR STASH
 ...nothing new (except maybe adhesive)
In fact... I'd like you to use supplies you already have that are at LEAST 1 year old. The older the better. This includes paper, dies, embellishments, stamps, even adhesives. If you use supplies that are 10+ years old...you get bonus points, and perhaps...a prize for the oldest supply used!

Note: You ALWAYS have the option of entering an "Anything Goes" project if you don't feel like using old stash!

 ...................................................

Well my fab Gruffie stamp is about 4 years old and is called "Laundry Line" and my paper is very old !!  Created a right little frilly number !!

Just adore the little Gruffie with the socks on his ears...so cute !!  Used alot of lace and bobble trim, cut some swirls with a die, loads of faux stitching and two buttons.

Stamped and then coloured using my usual Spectrum Noir pens. Also love the sentiment which I think is a Hero Arts one.

Got some wonderful sponsors this fortnight with some fabby do prizes up for grabs !!

Happy Birthday

This months Quick Cards magazine has a fab free set of stamps called "Maisie & Friends" which I just had to have !!

The stamps are very cute and very detailed, but easy to colour. I've used my usual Spectrum Noir pens.

The Happy Birthday stamp is one from my stash,  don't usually stamp in colour,  but really love the soft effect down the sides......

Something different...

My lovely friend Nicki bought me some fab crafty presents back from Ally Pally and included were three mdf tag stands. So when Gill from LC Designs sent me this New Release Dinkie Robin and Text stamp set I made this little scene using one of them....

Used loads of dies to cut clouds, fence, ivy and tree branches. The little pink flowers were made using a punch and the yellow a die. Stamped, coloured and then fussy cut out the robin.
