So tweet

When you find a super card and super present from a sweetheart of a friend on your door step like I did over the weekend ,  it just made my day !!   I had to make a thank you card straight away !!

I've had this Sizzix set for a while now called "Birds & Tree" which is really "tweet" don't you think..

I used patten paper and plain card to create my birdy scene with the stamps and matching dies.  Lots of lovely little bits of paper to play with !!  Added a bit of texture to the trees with an embossing folder and die cut some clouds as well.

A kind thought goes such a long way as I have said so many times before....it made my day.

100 today !!

Helene is a lady with so many tales to tell,  from working her way up in the fashion business to serving most of the Royal family , reciting poetry, lovin politics, but most of all just glad to have a visitor....She loves children, but sadly hasn't got any of her own and has out lived all her family. She smokes like a real trouper, but she is still here....

I wonder how many of my generation will live till 100 !!

Helene also loves CHEESE so I made this card for her birthday..

Guy's I've said this before,  please have one small thought for an older person as it goes a long way and means more than you think....I've known Helene for many years and a visit from me always makes her laugh !!

Bleached Flowerhead

Morning guys,

My turn this week for a Little Claire Friday Project and I have a cool simple card for you to try using my favourite LC "Flowerhead" and one of the sentiments from "Fabulous Day"

Have you ever tried using bleach on your card ?? I've used it to lighten the flower and make it pop, the card has been made using kraft card.

You will need:
LC Flowerhead and Fabulous Day stamps
6" x 6" kraft card blank
a4 piece of kraft card
clear ink ( versamark )
black ink
black embossing powder
black ribbon
two black gem swirls
thin bleach
old paint brush
black pen
sakura glaze pen

Cut a piece of kraft card 5 5/8 x 5 5/8 and ink the edges.
Ink the" Fabulous Day" sentiment with clear ink and stamp at an angle then emboss with black embossing powder.
Wrap a length of black ribbon round card twice, one to sit under sentiment the other in the opposite direction and attach.
Now glue onto card base.
Stamp again with clear ink and emboss with black embossing powder the Flowerhead twice onto the spare kraft card and fussy cut out.

Now comes the bleaching....WARNING bleach will bleach anything, clothes. dog, walls and kraft card, so please be careful !!

Paint all over the two Flowerheads with thin bleach and leave to dry...the bleach smell disappears when dry so please don't worry.
When dry give the flowers a bit of shape by curling the petals and glue together at centre.
Using a black pen colour in seed heads and centre.
Add glaze to centre.
With a length of black ribbon make a loop at top, cross over and glue to card front, then add black gem swirls and attach flower on top.

One bleached Flowerhead card !!

Mousey fun time !!

Hope you guys had a fab weekend !! So much nicer to have it a bit cooler...

Well its time for some more mousey fun at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge and this time its a sketch chosen by teamie Lori.

Now I have flipped the sketch over....

 Here's what Lori says....

Create a  project based on the sketch layout. Your take can be literal - or your own creative interpretation. Feel free to turn the sketch horizontal, or make it into a shaped card. Add more layers, swap out the thought bubble for a cloud or flower, or other embellishment. Keep it simple like the layout, or pile on the goodies! Get creative! As long as we can see that you followed the sketch, have the main elements, and of course use House-Mouse Designs stamps, CD collection images or decoupage, you are good to go.

I decided to make a Christmas card which is all white except the leaves and the scallop border which I have water coloured pale blue and coloured my cute little guy ( Fall Float ) with Spectrum Noir pens. Doesn't he look just sooooo happy...

After stamping and colouring all the leaves, I had to add a bit of snow in the form of some Frantage and some glitter with a Sakura pen.

Whoohoo !!

We are super happy and very proud to welcome back the wonderful, the One and ONLY, the Official Mousey Family...

A bit vintage

This last Christmas Scottie Dog card has a rustic/vintage feel I think. The papers are sort of muted colours and I have distressed all the edges and then added some silver stickles..

I stamped the Scottie dog onto a white piece of card, then made a mask by stamping it again onto a post it note  fussy cutting it out,  layed it over the main image and then stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment over the top to make a background. All you do then is peel off the mask. The Scottie dog was then coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and I paper pieced his coat.

Finished by hand cutting two holly leaves from one of the matching papers, a few candy dots and a double red bow.

Well guys what do you think of this fab set of stamps ,  are they super cute and great fun to play with ??

Well its a big yes from me !!

More cool Scotties !!

How about making a cracker shaped card using these cute little guys ??

I just cut a couple of  v shapes out of a long card and then tied some ribbon round !! Lot's of layers and distressed edges and then stamped, coloured and paper pieced the scotties coats.

Or what about a milk carton gift box ??

Now this will take a bit of time to stamp the Scottie border three times all round the box and then colour as well as the Happy Christmas sentiment,  but it's worth it !!

I made the milk carton from white card to my own measurements and then punched two holes in the top for the ribbon.  Made a tag using one of the small Scottie dogs and stamped the sentiment adding a small snowflake charm before adding the ribbon

.

Now if you haven't fallen in love with this months Little Claire Stamp Club set by now,  then I'll have one more go tomorrow with my last make....

They are super cute guys !!
