Irresistible Images Handbag

Morning guys !!

Hope life is being kind to you and if not big hugs are sent your way !!

Here's a little project for you using LC Designs "Irresistible Images". A cute handbag with five note cards and envelopes inside.  Would make a fab prezzie for a friend, mum, teacher, sister etc.

You will need:
LC Designs "Splodge" paper pack
LC Designs Dinkie Mini Scallop cards
green card
black tartan ribbon
one purple button
one green button
 green ink pad
fine line black pen
glue

1: Cut a piece of green card 6 3/4'' x 9 3/4''. Then score and cut as seen in photo. Cut another two pieces of green card 1/2'' x 11'' for handbag handles.

2: Next fold up the two 4 1/4; pieces and fold in the two 1 1/4'' sides and glue. This forms the handbag. Now glue handles either side.

3: Next cut a piece of Splodge paper to 4'' x 4'', ink edges with green and glue to front of bag. Then take on Irresistible image, ink edges with green and glue to front of bag adding a wavy black line all round image using the fine line black pen.

4: Cut a 1'' piece of Splodge paper, fringe one edge and roll to make quill flower and glue, then add purple and green button to middle. Make a black gingham ribbon bow and attach to top left of handbag adding quilled flower.

5: Take five Irresistible images and ink all edges with green ink and then add black wavy line using black fine line pen round edges.. Glue each onto front of a Dinkie mini scalloped card.

6; Add all five cards and envelopes to handbag and you now have a super little gift !!

Grandparents

I never knew any of my grandparents sadly, but my gran in this photo was in an old peoples home and I use to go with my dad to visit her, but use to just say hello and then play outside. I only remember this smiling lady in bed, she was always smiling ....

This was their golden wedding anniversary, doesn't my grand dad look proud.  I was going to make a photo frame with the rolled up pattern paper, but decided it was so nice I would make a lay out to put in a box frame ( when I find the right one) to hang on my wall instead.

I just rolled paper round a pencil from a paper stack, made a few rolled roses and leaves to add to the corners.. Will do a bit of journling round the heart with the dates when I find them out.

Tea light holder

Now and again I love to get messy and this little project was one of those times...

I started with a plain glass candle holder bought from Hobbycraft.

Inked an A4 piece of white card with three distress inks and using Fiskars Intericate Shape Leaf punch, punched out loads of leaves.

With lots of Mod Podge I glued them all over the outside, making sure to cover all the leaves to seal them. You really do just splodge the glue all over any how...great fun !!

Then when dry, add a piece of twine round neck and tea light !!

You could use and punched out shapes like snowflakes, fairies, flowers.......

My name is Diane

and I'm a hoarder.....there I've said it, I hoard everything and anything I think I can be crafty with. So when I had finished wrapping my christmas presents with wide wired ribbon I had bought the year before in the sales, I knew I could use the empty cardboard reels......

Easy to make calendar with stand.  Just cover the reel with paper and a pencil, cut two circles of card covered with pattern paper and glue one either side of pencil, then glue pencil in stand. Punch butterflies out of pattern paper using the Fiskars Squeeze Butterfly punch, add round circle. Two butterflies together and some ribbon round bottom of stand, a ring of jems round top of stand and gems in middle of each butterfly, then just add calendar.

This is one of my makes for the Fiskarettes Fiskars FB page. it's a great page for inspiring projects from the team. My term ends at the end of January and the new team will take over bringing more fresh ideas for you !!

Check the page out HERE and why not share your makes with us , we would love to see them !!
