Stitches trade show

Went on a little adventure last Sunday to the Stitches trade show at the NEC to meet up with a few friends...I am super glad I don't have to do motorway driving every day, its so boring !!

Anyhoo after a walk round I went to say hi to the Fiskars team,  the stand was full of super goodies. Kath was very busy with the punches...

And Keren with the all the fab sewing tools, one being the new circle cutter !!

Boy did the girls work hard...

That didn't include me...

I did take a little gift up for Enfys, Kath and Keren which I had made for them...

No not your usual handmade present..a voodoo pin cushion to take their stress out on and a big bar of chocolate. As you can see Enfys (green) and Kath (orange) have already used theirs.

Keren had a red one, but I didn't manage to get a photo of that...

Didn't really have much time to take any photos as I spent the day chatting to loads of peeps, but here are a couple...

This was a wonderful knitted tree...with everything knitted to decorate it !!

Thanks to the Fiskars girls for a fun day and my super presents !!  Aren't the scissors pretty...

Don't forget to keep popping in at Fiskarettes UK fb page...

Give us a Bow !!

Had a great adventure to the Stitches Trade Show yesterday and met a lot of fabby do extra special people,  talk about rubbing shoulders with the crafty famous !!  Even managed the motorway and thank the lord I don't have to do that every day, its sooooooooo boring !!  Have a few photos that I'll share on a later post.

Anyhoo my turn to host the House Mouse and Friends fun challenge which starts today and I chose the theme "Give us a Bow" and kind of bow you like !!

The sentiment is sooooooo me and I'm sure this little guy is saying the same in his head !! One of my new favourite stamps.

Used lots of dies and punches, web ribbon, bling, buttons and stamped and coloured using copics. The corner punch is a new one from Fiskars were you get three different corners i one punch. Its fab as its a squeeze punch and easy on the hand.

We have two fabby do sponsors and they are:

A little something...

..just for you !!

A box card,  haven't made one of these for such a loooooong time and its always good to re-visit an old favourite.

The good thing about these box cards are they fold down flat for posting, but you can put a few matching gift tags inside as I did.

I coloured a piece of card using disress inks and then water splattered to make my own background and matching tags. Then used the Fiskars butterfly roller stamp flat to stamp all over. Made a belly band to hold the box shut adding a large butterfly from the Fiskars border punch and some twine.

Here's the measurements and pattern I used. Very easy to make and so many ways to decorate !!

Such a cutie...

This new release stamp by LOTV is yet another reason why I adore anything cute !! It's called "Hearts and Flowers" and I was very lucky to win it on FB !!

I love to stamp and have a stamp in my hand,  never been very keen on digi stamps, but both have their uses.

As you can see I have gone over board with pattern paper, distressing edges, loads of netting tule and making cute little flowers !!  Coloured my cute mices using Copics and distress inks.

So which do you prefer to work with...stamps or digis ??

Just because....

I'm a great one for giving friends a little "just because" card and gift as we all love a little bit of happpy post to brighten our day, so seeing I had just got my new Pink Your Life stamp I did just that...

Made a simple card and popped in some punched words and shapes to brighten a friends day !!

Love....

boy we all need a bit of love now and again !!

Our new challenge over at House Mouse and Friends is

( Must have at least one heart on your creation )

There are quite a few hearts on mine.....

Made a background of strips of pattern paper, some red lace and faux stitching. Stamped and coloured in using Copics and distress inks for background.

Mounted on a doily and 3d foam tape. Die cut some red hearts and fussy cut the blue ones from the pattern papers. All topped off with two ribbon bows and a few blue pearl hearts !!

We have a lovely stamp set up for grabs from our hostess Christine for this challenge.

So why not hop over and join in the fun !!

A bit of fun

Morning guy's !!

How about a bit of fun this Sunday morning in the form of a couple of love monsters !!

Easy peasy to make,  just make a shaggy pompom by wrapping wool round three of your fingers and tying it round the middle and cutting the loops. Then punch some hearts from funky foam add to a piece of v shape pipe cleaner and hot glue to top of head. Add wobbly eyes and ribbon bow. Cut a larger funky foam heart and glue to bottom of monsters for feet !!

Now all you have to do is decide who is going to get your love monster ??
