I've built the card up by decoupaging everything to make multi levels,  MooRag, fence, flowers ect and of course lots of fussy cutting out which I LOVE !!

All has been coloured in with promarkers which I love playing with as well !!

Lenny the Lion

Here we are again guys......Sunday so another fab challenge at The Crafty Pad chosen this time by Ali !!

Challenge #189
 "INSPIRED BY A SONG"
Sponsored by

And this is the fab prize up for grabs !!

Just right for you christmas creations !!

Thought I would join the girls from Team B this week and play along with them with this card !!

Debbie's "Lenny the Lion" is a happy chappy who could be used for any age male family member, Dad, Brother, Grandpa etc.  The song that came to mind for me  is "In The Jungle" from the Lion King.

You must check this out
It will have you singing all day long !!

Wanted to add alot of texture to my card, so I have embossed alot of different layers with two different embossing folders, and then cut out a few leaves with a spellbinders die. Lenny has been printed out several times so I could decoupage him up and then coloured with promarkers. Added glossy accents to his eyes and nose. To finish off I used a Birthday Circle Sentiment and got one very bright and cheerful card !!

Check out what the rest of the team have created on

Autumn Colours

Well we've not quiet finished summer yet.....but our challenge at The Crafty Pad this week is

"Autumn Colours"

 chosen by Pauline.

Think of all the lovely autumn colours there is to choose from,  but we want to see at least TWO of them on your creations !!

Our fab Sponsor this week is:

Crafty Individuals

and the fab prize  is

1 Pack of Red Rubber Tree Stamps
1 6x6 Tree Themed Backing Papers
1 A4 sheet of Bird Toppers
Team A's turn this week to give you some inspiration which includes me !!

So I went for a vintage look with this note book holder.

I cut and covered two pieces of cardboard with print paper and then aged with distress inks. On one piece I added a piece of patterned paper and two dollies and again aged with more distress inks. Then cut a smaller piece of orange paper and mounted another piece of pattered paper on top.  Next I printed out The Crafty Pad Designs " Recipe For a Friend" and teapot from the "Teaset". Cut them out and then crumpled them to add creases, distressed them with inks and then covered with several layes of clear UTEE. Added a lovely vintage brad to hang the terapot from and mounted them both onto front.  Had some lovely chocolate silk ribbon in my stash so ruffled a piece along the bottom and added two more vintage brads  and a big bow at the top. Bound the two pieces together with the bind it all and distressed the edges with a blade and then glued a note paper pad to the inside !!

Pop over to The Crafty Pad Challenge and see all the fab creations from the rest of the girls from Team A !!

Simple with a bit of recycling

Being a crafter I see endless possibilities in recycling packaging that my crafty goodies are packed in. That being said,  I have made the flower on my simple card using the plastic which a cricut cartridge came in.

I punched out three 3" daisies using a woodware punch and three small dasies with a smaller punch. Then coloured the big daisies with blue alcohol ink and the small with yellow.. Slowly heated each daisy shape with my heat gun and then moulded into shape and then layed them up using 3d glue.

Close up isin't very good,  my old camera didn't want to play ball !!

I embossed the "With Love" onto a piece of  whitewash colourcore and sanded back, then reversed the rest of the colourcore to use as my yellow bachground.. The swirls were cut using a marianne die which I love.

A funny + scrapclub

This will make you smile

I went tonight to do some shopping in M&S and after parking I notice a really cute little dog pearing out of a rather posh car window in front of me.  So me being me I just had to walk over and say hello to it.  There I was saying hello to this very cute little dog in one very posh car, when the car alarm started to go off !!  Remember I am now bent down at the window which is closed,  on the drivers side with the car alarm going off !!  I slowly stood up, had a quick look round and slowly walked away.......

Anyway onto scrapclub last Saturday.  It was a beach theme LO and we all had the same kit, but boy they were all very different when finished !!  Here is mine

The photo was taken on The Isle of White and you can't see, but right at the far right is me, far left is my eldest brother and right on the waters edge are my two nephews. The person in the front is not with us, but was trying to do the same as us and that was to fly a kite !!.. Hence my title.  The photo has more to tell, but thats for me.....

The LO has alot of different textures.  We made the background using mica sprays in different colours, coloured glossy card with distress inks and then stamped and cut out the sea shells,  threaded tule through wire and then stuck seqins and beads on.!!  Lots of fiddley bits and bobs just right up my street !!

Just love....

this image from the Stampin Up set called "Friendships Grow"

Decided to make an easel card with these two cute little girls and they pets !!

I do like the vintage look to a card, so I have distressed all the edges with a blade and used  tea dye distress ink to age it, then pricked a line of dots along each edge.   I stamped the image with Memories dye ink pad and then coloured in using again the tea dye distress ink for a sepia look.

The sentiment and flower pots are also in the set, which I have used to make my easel stop.  The paper and ribbon is also from Stampin Up.
