Use a Doily

Now I know how the poor old turkey feels......STUFFED !!

Don't want to see another mince pie or chocolate (well maybe another chocky or two)

Anyway onto this weeks challenge at

Sponsored by

With a $10 gift voucher !!

I got to play with one of Stitchy Bears Digi stamp called

" Roots "

This stamp has a lovely fresh spring feel.

Now here in the UK a doily is usually found under a plate of cakes, but in crafting it can be any decorative mat or you can just use a cake doily like I have. If you cut the centre out of a round cake doily you can then pleat it round any edge and it looks like lace !! I have colour tinted my doily with a blue promarker.

Wanted to keep the whole spring feel to my card, so have coloured the daffs in their traditional colours of yellow and orange using promarkers again.

Now why don't you see how creative you can be with a doily and to get you started, check out what the rest of the team have done over at Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog !!

I love this card! Thanks for the tip about cutting out the center of the doily. I was wondering how you did that. Very creative. Great spring feel to this and such pretty coloring, too. Thank you!

Lol, I know just how you feel Diane. I've just finished eating a huge bar of Galaxy that I started on Christmas night. The chocolate weighed 360g but I'm sure it's put a lot more than that on me!!

Love your pretty, fresh and Spring like card. Just what we need! xx
