Easter

is on its way and the theme of this fortnights challenge over at House Mouse and Friends !!

Easter wouldn't be the same without some bunnies so I've used this cute Happy Hopper stamp called "Forget Me Nots"

Stamped and coloured with my usual Spectrum Noir pens, die cut a lot of flowers and then embossed them, die cut and glittered the Hoppy Easter letters, added a lace frill border round image, two lace ribbon bows and heart buttons.

Me and beautiful baby Ellie....just look at her little face.

Ellie is three weeks old today and belongs to my super sweet friends Nicki and Kurt who I spent this afternoon with. 

 

 When they say a "bundle of joy" it really is true......

What a Fox

 Been having a play with Fiskars "What a Fox" stamp set. Love the shabby chic fox silhouette ( now don't laugh, but I thought I had a duff fox stamp till I looked at the packaging !!)

On my above card I have made a background of strips of pattern paper, inking all the edges with "Spices Marmalade" distress ink.  Then made a background for the fox using distress inks and stamps from the set.  Adding embossing powders from the Frantage Encrusted Jewel Brionze kit, a ribbon bow and heart button.

 

 For my second card I kept it to just one blue distress ink to make a background and a strip of stripey blue and black paper at the bottom.  Finished off with two rows of ribbon and a black buton.  The sentiment is one from a Tim Holtz set.

Mini Brag Book

My turn for a LC Designs project so how about making this little gift for your Mum, Gran or Great Granny for Mothers Day !!

A mini brag book using the Irresistible Images Cute Kitties,  paper pack-Dotty and Dinkie Scallop white cards.

Add photos of your child or children, or get the kids to write a little note to grandma or babies foot or hand prints. Or write a special message on each page to your Mum.

Whatever you decide to add, one thing is for sure it will be treasured and showed to one and all !!

You will need:

4 Irresistible Images Cute Kitties

3 Dinkie white scallop cards

4 pieces of Dotty paper

pale blue dotty ribbon

Dinkie Sentiment Stamps

black fine line pen

Versafine Onyx Black ink pad

glue 

!: Fold each Dinkie card in half and glue together as shown in photo

2: Cut blue, yellow, red and green dotty paper to 8cm x 8cm and add faux stitching round edges.

3: Stamp your chosen sentiments to front of three Cute Kittie images and add faux stitching

4: Trim last Cute Kittie image 1/8th all round, then stamp sentiments to front and add faux stitching all round.

5: Add a strip of glue across centre front of book and glue a length of dotty blue ribbon just to front to wrap all round brag book.

6: Glue blue dotty paper and smaller kittie image over ribbon on front. then yellow dotty paper on inside cover and one kittie image, next pages red dotty paper and one kittie image and then last pages green dotty paper and last kittie image.

Now all you have to do is add what you like and tie ribbon ends into a big bow on side !!

Rain or Shine

we need both, but doesn't the sunshine make you feel better !! 

Time already for another fun House Mouse and Friends Challenge and the theme is "Rain or Shine" and I think you can tell which I chose....

 The stamp is called "Sunflower Smile" with one chilled out mousey enjoying the sunshine....stamped and coloured with my usual spectrum noir pens.

Made the sun ray effect with strips of pattern paper adding some faux stitching. Then made a rosette with kraft card to mount my cute mousey image onto. All topped of with two ribbon bows and a sweet heart button.

Love and Marriage

is our new challenge theme over at LC Designs and I've used this cute stamp set called "On Your Wedding Day"

I've paper pieced the brides dress and made the flowers with some paper from the Dotty paper pack. Stamped and colour using my usual spectrum noir pens.

Also inked my cloud background on the heart and on the card base. All topped off with two dotty ribbon bows !!

New Wavy Sheep !!

And a very good morning one and all, the sun is shinning and I can now put my socks and shoes on !!  Whoohoo for little things !!

Well I see I have a few mini daffs out so spring is just round the corner and I think these cute little sheep know it as well as their jumping for joy.....

Just out of the stamp stable from LC Designs and only £2.00 !!

My first card above I have decoupaged all the sheep, coloured the whole image with spectrum noir pens.

Or how about using the stamp to make my smaller dinkie card...again stamped and coloured using spectrum noir pens, this time left flat.  On both cards I've used Dinkie Sentiment stamps

My word guys,  what a windy wet grey day today !!  To top it off my back/hip is making life very interesting at mo,  getting dressed is a hoot regarding socks and shoes.....

Anyhoo got two bright fun cards to share today using  Woodwares new Whimsical Flower Sally Anne stamp.

I've never really been into flower stamps, but loved this one as it is really big and open so there is so much you can do with it.

I started with a piece of A4 white card and spritz it with pink, green and orange inks. Then cut it in half and on one used a Tin Holtz Brick stencil and wild honey distress ink and inked through. The other half I ued the Harlequin stencil and same distress ink for the backgrounds.

Both of the cards I paper pieced the flowers and then doodled a bit on top with a fine black pen and spectrum noir pen. the sentiments are from Lindsay Masons Doo Lally Pip range.

Wavy Baby

is the other new stamp out by LC Designs and is soooo cute !!

Again I couldn't stop playing and had fun colouring them both,  so cute with my inked cloud backgrounds

Adorable with the Quirky Quilts papers with a frill of pink dotty ribbon, a few heart buttons ( my fav thing at mo ) and some faux stitching !!

Or what about the Gingham papers, blue dotty ribbon, heart button and more faux stitching ??  Again like the Wavy Wedding it comes with some sweet sentiment stamps !!

Gerty !!

A present from my lovely friend Carol who volunteers at a local charity shop. Money is always tight with me and Carol thought I could put a pound or two away for our shopping trip to the NEC in Nov which is a brill idea !!

Well I thought Gerty needed a bit of a me make over so last night I got to work....

Doesn't she look happier in her very pink knitted fluffy woolly hat and scarf . Wait till you see what I have planned for her in Spring !!

Wavy Wedding

.......................no that's not on a boat kind of wedding,  but one of two new wavy stamps by LC Designs just out !!

 

This is "Wavy Wedding"

Wedding cards don't have to be white ( I have made one which you will be seeing in March )

 

 For this one I used a piece of LC Designs Nice 'n' Stripey paper which has soft blues and greys in and added some pastel pink hearts which I cut using a die.  With the wavy stamps you get a few sentiments stamps inclued with each.

Couldn't stop playing with this stamp...

 

My second card is in bold red, white and black which would make a fab wedding or anniversary card. I do love gingham's.....the paper is LC Designs Gingham's paper pack and the ribbon can also be found HERE

 

Don't be afraid to play with the sentiment stamps, they are very flexible so you can curve them on your acylic block.

Now my stamp is called "She loves me" how fitting it that !!

This sweet card could be sent to anyone I think.

The sweet little roses I've made using the Tim Holtz die Tiny Tattered Florals and my word the smallest is tiny,  but very cute !!  Also added some silver frantage which as you know I adore frantage !!  Coloured in using my usual Spectrum Noir pens.
