Owl Tree

is one of my favourite Little Claire stamps.... I know I'm a bit bias, but I adore owls !!

It's my nephew Robert's birthday tomorrow, boy how the time flies.  When he was little he just used to climb over anything and everything and it was NEVER his fault no matter what !!  Now he has just got his first home.....

The papers are from a Racollections Signature & Specials stack called Graceful.

The jute ribbon was part of my christmas gift from my friend Nicki who I spent time with on Boxing Day. It came in a lovely handmade basket which you can see HERE with some more jute ribbon which was red and a fab note saying I would be receiving a  House Mouse surprise soon...can't wait
Nicki !!

Distressed all the paper edges which is messy with a craft knife, but I love the look and then topped everything off with three hand coloured candy pieces !!

Meeeeeeeee !!

Hope you guys are having a fab christmas break, I am !!

Yesterday I had a fun crafting day with my friend Carol, we call them "play days" as its fun to try out new crafty things together.

My two favourite christmas pressies were a pair of animal gloves from Betty one of my ladies (very me !!)  and three crafting mags from Carol, one being "Scrapbook magazine" issue 85

I loved the free papers with this issue by Kay Miller so just had to do a scrapbook page...

We're lucky at the moment, no snow so far, but very frosty and chilly !!  The photo's were taken yesterday in Carol's garden.  My word my hair is much whiter in the light !!

Added some sparkle to my cold letters and the trees and snowman...

Mounted my elements onto a piece of white card first then fussy cut them out. punched some holes in the buttons and added thread.

And a hidden journal tag.....had so much trouble with the date stamp I put Jan instead of Dec !!  Will put that right.....

Got plenty of paper left so think may be another scrapbook lay out on its way....

Tigger

no not   "the wonderful things about Tigger"  one , but my friends cat called Tigger.

I normally have a craft stall at Hearing Dogs for Deaf and make loads of prezzies for dogs and cats, but couldn't go this year and my friend always buys a present for her cat Tigger.

Anyhoo she asked if I would make one just for him, so here it is...

Full of cat goodies...and it's my gift for Tigger. he's one fab chilled out cat.

Went a bit mad with my sewing machine...but it was fun whizzing round !!

Would love to hear what you have made for your fur babies this Christmas !!

Last mintue makes !!

With all the christmas rush we all find we need an extra prezzie or stocking filler, well what about making a few of these fab bookmarks which can be made in a jiffy !!

All you need is:
A piece of white card 2" x 8 1/4"
One Stix 2 Bookmark Cover
Little Claire Stamps
Two lenghts of ribbon
Hole punch
Colouring pens of your choice

Just stamp randomly your image onto the piece of white card and colour in using your pen choice, For mine I used spectrum noir pens, because the ink bleeds through you will need to back your bookmark with another piece of white card or patterned paper the same size before popping it into the bookmark cover.

Now just punch a hole in the top to thread a piece of double ribbon through and tie another piece of ribbon to make a bow round this

If using the Manphabet stamp set to spell a word like this football one, you will need to stamp the word down the front first,  then fill in the gaps .

A quick handy little present for anyone and so many Little Claire stamps to use !!

Happy Christmas guys !!

Woolly Jumper Dogs !!

.......well these cute guys look as if they were made from christmas woolly knitted  jumpers !!

I have a lot of doggy friends so wanted to make some special cute doggy christmas cards for them.

  .
I've used two Dreamweaver Stencils, the cute dog and the christmas borders

Just used two distress inks, Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn and stippled one light base colour then layed the christmas border on top and stipled through again a heaver layer of ink. With a fine liner black pen I then drew round the inside of the stencil.

Here are a few of my first colour combo samples

Next fussy cut out each dog ( cute dog die on wish list ) and mounted onto 3d foam tape and topped with a christmas bell and bow.

Each dog has then been mounted onto a 5" x 5" piece of card edged with matching ink colour and wavy fine line of black, then this has been 3d mounted onto a 6" x 6" card blank also edge inked with black wavy line to match. Topped off with some stickles sparkle to ground each dog !!

There you have it, quick, simple and very cute woolly christmas jumper  dog cards !!

Sending Warm Fuzzies

Now when I got this stamp set by Hero Arts called Everyday Saying CL342 quiet a few years ago, I thought who on earth was going to use this sentiment "Sending Warm Fuzzies" !!

Well that's me actually...I love the sentiment and have used it a lot and it's just right for my "Get Well Soon" card for one of my ladies...

There is a lot going on I know with my card, but I wanted it to be bright and cheerful and make her smile....and it's soooooo me !!

Real stitching this time and not so wonky, must be getting better !!

Lots of mat and layering,  used a quilling die to cut and  make the flowers and another for the leaves,  my fab gruffie is from a set called "Bearytastic Day" ( a gift from Nicki )  coloured with Spectrum Noirs,  papers are from a stack called "Neapolitan" by American Crafts and all finished off with ribbon and a few pink pearls !!

Take 2

more fab men  !!

Hope you guys are keeping warm and cosy on this frosty morning ??  It sure has bought down a lot of leaves, must be winter.....bloomin marvellous which brings me nicely to my card ....

We all know a few male gardeners and a lot who think they can garden...

Just made a little scene with a cloud effect background and repeat stamping just the sunflower and drew in a grassy bank. Then did my usual load of mat and layering and heartbeat black wavy line to edge paper. Coloured using spectrum noir pens.

Now we all dream of this man....

For this one I have embossed yellow and blue card then sanded lightly, then cut into squares. Again repeat stamped the shield and fussy cut out then mounted on 3d foam tape. Coloured in using spectrum noir pens.

Lots more inspiration using this months Little Claire Club Stamp Set can be found HERE
