is what we all wish for in life, but sadly many don't get either in this world today........

Now cas cards are really hard for me as I just keep building up the layers on mine, but here's a sweet christmas one I've have made using a Pink Gem Design stamp.   As you know I adore owls !!

Coloured using Spectrum Noir pens, added stickles and some frantage, them made a small tag with a hero art sentiment and finished off with a bow !!

Well it's as clean and simple as I and get it !!

Autumn/Fall

is my favourite time of year, the colours are just wonderful....

And guess what..Autumn/Fall is the next challenge theme for you at House Mouse and Friends !!

Here's my second GDT card,  I 've used a super HMD stamp called "Fall Float"

My background paper was a piece from my stash which I embossed with a swirly pattern and then inked over it. I then coloured a scrap piece of white card with several distress inks in greens, yellows and pinks and repeat stamped just the leaf and then fussy cut them out. Don't they look real.....

Next I stamped the super cute mouse onto white card, coloured in with Spectrum Noir pens and paper pieced the leaf  and stamped the sentiment. Doesn't show up very well, but I also made a cloud effect round him with a blue distress ink.

Finished off with adding a piece of yellow net ribbon, then made a bow, added a couple of the leaves and a button !!

Be sure to check out the challenge,  all the fab creations by the team and the fabulous prizes up for grabs over at

Brighton

I had a fab day last weekend in Brighton, hadn't been there for years !!  My Sunday school outing was always to Hove because my Sunday school teacher had a friend who ran a guest house there and we always ended the day with her with an easter egg hunt in her garden. Anyway my dad started to book holidays with this lady and we went for several years in a row, so spent many a happy holiday in Hove and Brighton when I was a child.

Didn't really remember much at all which might have been a good thing. The day was very murky, but warm...

The Pavilion to me looked a bit tired, but I suppose it s quiet a few years older now  and seeing it through adult eyes !!

The back streets were very busy and colourful with unusual shops. But the main activity seemed to be eating outside !!

Came across some fab street wall art...

Called into an arts and craft fair and treated myself to this sweet embroidered brooch designed by Betty Shek.

Rounded the day off with an ice cream on the Pier...........

Star of Wonder Mini Album

Morning guys.......

This morning I have a mini album to share with as it's my turn for the Little Claires Friday Project this week and I've used the cute "Star Of Wonder"

It's September so we all now start thinking about Christmas and this mini album would make a great little stocking filler or gift for a friend, teacher, neighbour etc...

You will need

Star Of Wonder stamp
blue and white card
pattern paper
frantage ( chunky white embossing enamel)
ribbon
jingle bells
twine
black fine liner pen
glue
hole punch
3D foam tape

 1: Cut ONE piece of blue card 9 1/8" x 5" and score at 8" and 8 1/8" down the 5" length

2: Cut FIVE pieces of blue card 8" x 5" and score each at 7" down the  5" length. Now glue all FIVE pieces together along the 1" end upto the score line. Then glue to the piece of blue card 9 1/8" x 5" upto the 8" score line.

3: There will now be a 1" flap on the left hand side, add glue to this and wrap round and over to the front upto 1" score mark. This now binds the mini book together.

3: Cut a piece of pattern paper 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" and another strip 3/4" x 4 3/4". Ink round all edges.

4:Stamp "Star Of Wonder" onto a piece of white card 3 1/4" x 4 1/8", colour, add frantage and faux stitching round. Matt onto another piece of white card leaving a 1/8" boarder all round.

5: Glue pattern paper onto front of mini album and add faux stitching round edges

6: Now mount "Star Of Wonder" with 3D foam tape onto front.

7: Punch two holes in left hand side and tie ribbon. Add three jingle bells onto bow with piece of twine.

Now your mini album is ready for some jolly christmas photo's !!

These little album are quick to make and here's another one I have made using "Swirly Whirlies Little Tammy"

Hope you enjoy making your mini album !!

hugs Diane xx

Little Robin Redbreast

Morning guys !!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I'm whacked today as I spent yesterday at the seaside in Brighton, but will tell you about that another time...

Going to share with you a couple more cards made using this months Little Claire Club Stamp set called "Little Robin Redbreast"

Little Robin Redbreast clear stamp set

With the set you get another cute birdhouse with a little robin on which fits on the stand from the set called "Changing Birdhouse"

I really went mad with the frantage on this one !!  I've made the blue background by making loads of dots using a blue Spectrum Noir pen, takes quiet a while, but gives a nice effect.

My next card is very different...

Just used the little wreath, stamped out four times and fussy cut them out.  then mounted them onto two circles of card, one yellow the other red.

You'll see I have used one of the sentiments to frame both my cards !!
A really super little set of christmas stamps. Why not pop over to Little Claires and check them out !!

Dinkie

Holly Owl is sooooo darn cute !!

This is one of the new release Dinkie stamps from Little Claire and this time I thought I would make a little gift set of tags in traditional red and green christmas colours

What a thoughtful handmade gift this would make for a friend,  teacher or a neighbour. A gift like this would mean so much more to the person you gave it too........

To me christmas can become so impersonal with no real thought or love behind the gift we give....so why not think about making and giving a small gift like this to someone this year.....

Friends

Last Sunday was full of fabulous homemade  carrot cake and tea with friends Nicki and Kurt and their sweet cat Jess ( and no Jess didn't have tea or cake)

Nicki gave me a couple of presents one being a set of stamps that came free with a magazine which I loved. So I set too and made this card...

Oh how I love cute stamps !!

Nicki wanted to see me paper piece these images so I have. The papers I have used to stamp onto to make my background paper and paper piece with are are by Wild Rose Studio called "Peach Blossom" I so do love my fussy cutting.....

My second present was this....

A HUGE box of Belgium handmade marshmallow chocolates !!

And no I'm not going to eat them all (quite a few) but not all.  Being a mobile hairdresser I visit a lot of elderly ladies and I'm sure it will brighten their day to receive a few of these fabulous chocolates !!

Thanks so much Nicki and Kurt !!
