Chalkboard

Thought I would share my LO version from Saturday's Scrap Club at AMOM.

The whole LO is just up my street, we used the chalkboard technique

 As you can see "A Typical Day" which for me was Thursday last week, was the theme.

Poor Betty was my first client of the day and wasn't happy about having her photo taken in all her glory !!

The front panel opened up. Journaling to be added .

Helen who is 98 really really didn't want her photo taken, but she couldn't escape because I had her walker !!   But Grace who is 96 is always game for a laugh and full of fun, such a sweetie !!

Part of my day is walking my two fur babies, as you can see they are always keen !! 

 My doesn't it look like autumn !!

Christmas Geese

October already peeps so time for Little Claires new stamp club stamps and what a cute set of stamps this month !!   I know I know,  I say that everytime, but it's true !!

"Christmas Geese"

 Told you so !!

 Here's two cards I have made.

Try using your sentiment stamp to make a border or your background paper as I have.

The geese are so easy to cut out and decoupage up and you can have their hats and scarfs any colour you like !!  I used my good faithful promarkers !!

Secret Project ??

Second post of the day !!

Told you I was going to be like buses, don't see one for ages and then 2 come along at once !!

Hope you are enjoying all the secret projects by the team, even the team don't know what is coming up each day  !!

 My new release stamp is

"Candy and Balloons"

and I've made a "sneaky peek gift bag" using her !!

I've called it a sneaky peak gift bag as it has an acetate window so the birthday girl can get a sneaky peek at her prezzie inside !!

Hope you have made a cuppa and are sitting down as this is a looooong TUT !!

You can use any gift bag or make your own as I did from  a 12" x 12" piece of pattern paper. There are loads of tutorials to be found on how to make a gift bag on YouTube.

Now to make the acetate window:

Print Candy and Ballons onto a piece of white card and colour in.

Lay a circle die over your image and draw with a pencil round the inside stopping where you touch your image.

Now cut out along the pencil line with a knife and round your image ( refer to photo )

Trim your white card to 1/4 " smaller than your gift bag and as big as you want top and bottom.

Cut a piece of lavender card 1/4 " bigger all round  than your white card with image on.

Lay the two pieces of card together leaving a 1/4" border showing all round and draw through and round the inside of the window upto the image.

Remove the white card, line up your circle die with your pencil line and cut out so you have a window in the white card as well as the lavender.

Glue two pieces together.

Now lay the card onto your gift bag where you want it and do the same, draw round the inside of the window with a pencil, lift card off, line up circle die on gift bag and draw round outside of die.

Put a piece of thick card inside your gift bag so you can cut out the circle with a knife.

Now glue the lavender and white card onto gift bag.

Cut a piece of acetate to fit window and glue inside gift bag.

To finish off I printed off the balloons again and cut them out so I could decoupage them up.

Now all you need is to add your sentiments !!

New Challenge

It's Tuesday so time for another challenge at

"Favourite technique or colour combo"

And our fab prize this week is

I couldn't decide on just one favourite technique, so went for three instead !!

Paper piecing, decoupage and fussy cutting !!

"Henry - why not" is a fab digi stamp just great for boys of any age !!

I made a cloud and grass background for Henry using distress inks, paper pieced him using papers by Crete Papers called "Farmhouse" and then decoupged him as well. Lots of matt and layering of the papers and fussy cut the small and large stars and banner. Finish off by colouring some candy in brown to match.

Woodware Sept Sketch

Oh dear peeps...it's been a whole week and no blog posts from me !!

Where does the time go !!

I'm afraid I'm going to be like buses...don't see one for ages and then three all come at once !!

 I love gnomes so just had to have Woodwares "Christmas Gnome". I think he is something different for this year's christmas cards, don't you  !!

I've paper pieced him using papers from Trimcrafts " Nordic Christmas " stack

Fun with Lindsay

Spent a fab morning/afternoon

 

 with Lindsay Mason yesterday !! 

Lindsay is a regular visitor to my local craft centre AMOM. I know I keeeeeep saying this, but if you get a chance to see Lindsay demo anywhere then don't miss it !!  She is a fab demostrator, fun to be with and you'll learn a heck of a lot !!

As you can see there was alot of us  !! Everyone is busy doing the make 'n' take card.

We got to play with heatable acetate, glitter, gesso, acrylic paint and distress inks !!
