Hopefull Harriet

Morning guys,

Had play with my distress inks, masks and Doo Lally Pip stamp set " Hopefull Harriet " by Lindsay Mason. I love Lindsays range of Doo Lally Pip stamps !!

Just made a blended background with distress inks Mustard Seed, Shabby Shutters and Worn Lipstick and loads of water,  then used a Tim Holtz  lace mask here and there using just Worn Lipstick

Next stamped the leave vines, little cross stitches and words onto the background. Stamped Harriet and the flower heads onto white card, coloured using the same three distress ink colours and fussy cut them all out. Popped them all onto 3D foam tape and then onto my card.

Finished off by then mounting my background onto a piece of corrugated pink card and then a black card base. Topped off with a black dotty ribbon bow and heart button !!

A pretty quirky card......

Flower Pot

Morning guys, here I am with another Little Claire friday project for you and this time its a flower pot card using LC "Flowerhead".

Pull the flowers up and you can add your sentiment !!

You will need:
LC "Flowerhead" stamp
LC sentiment from "Swirlball Flower set"
A piece of brown card 4 1/2" x 12" for pot
Another piece 3 1/8" x 6 1/2" for insert
A piece of cream card 2 3/4" x  6 1/8"
cream 1 3/4" scallop circle
Patten paper (dark)
Patten paper (light)
Two embossing folders
A piece of lace
One heart jem
3D foam tape
Black pen

1: take your 4 1/2" x 12" brown card and score at 5" and 10"

2: Turn your card and fold up bottom to 10" score mark. Now mark 1/2 in on both sides at bottom and draw a line from these up to 10" score mark to outer edges as seen in photo. Now cut along lines to form pot shape.

3:Next emboss pot shape with a pattern of your choice, then emboss the top flap with a different embossing folder of your choice. Now fold back this top flap to create the top of the pot., don't fold it forward as it will close the top, you want the top open.

4: Put a spot of glue on the two outer edges at the top of your pot leaving most of the top open and the sides.

5: Glue a piece of lace round pot flap, then add a piece of 3d foam tape under flap and stick down. Now add a lace bow.

6: Next stamp sentiment onto a 1 3/4" cream scallop circle, add small heart jem and attach under bow.

Now for the flower insert:

1: Mount the cream 2 3/4" x  6 1/8" onto the brown  3 1/8" x 6 1/2", next  push into the top of flower pot till it touches the bottom. Attach three pieces of 3D foam tape to the 1 1/2" that is now showing above pot top.

You will need to make five flowers:

For each flower you need to stamp and cut out,
  one dark flower head
 and one light flower head
 one dark centre
 one light center

.from your pattern papers. On the lighter flower head you need to colour in the seed heads with a black pen.

To give your flowers a bit of a shape  use a big round embossing tool and a soft mat and work in small circles on back of each petal to give it a dome shape, then glue the light flower head on top of dark flower head adding dark centre followed by light centre using 3d foam tape .

Still with me.....nearly finished...

Arrange all five flowers onto the 3d foam tape on top of insert, three at bottom and two at top. The bottom three flowers will  hang over the top of the flower pot.

Now all you have to do is have a cupper......... and write your greeting on the insert and give it too the person you love most !!

The Great "Outdoors"

There's nothing better than being outdoors in the fresh air ( well perhaps not when its raining )

http://littleclairesdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/

The Little Claire challenge this month is "Outdoors" and I've used Loverly Jubblies "Maybe" which you can find HERE

It's a bit hard to see , but I 'v made a box frame to go on the front of my card. Stamped my little boy, coloured him in and then made the little background scene round him with distress inks and Spectrum Noir pens, then attached it too the inside of the box.

Die cut the trees and embossed them with a wood effect embossing folder,  then coloured them before chopping them up a bit to arrange the branches to meet at the top. Die cut and coloured a few cute birds and the little white fence, then made a grassy border to go at the very front.

Now if you feel like entering then you might just win this fab massive Little Claire prize !!

Gemma and Bella's Spring Fun

These two cats are adorable and that's why I chose this stamp by Wags 'n' Whiskers after winning one of their challenges !! Thanks guys !!

The sweet papers are by Lili of the Valley & Nit Wit Collections by Mary Fran. Stamped and then coloured Gemma and Bella using Spectrum Noir pens and then made a pleated frill to go round them inking all the edges with distress ink.

Found some white daisy trim so made a "With Love" banner to go at the bottom, coloured the centres with a yellow Spectrum Noir, punched out the banner flags using a SU punch, then stamped and punched out each letter again inking round all the edges.

Just finished off by adding a few more daisy's at the top on either side.

Well this morning it looks as if we are going to have another dull day, but hay ho at least my card is bright and cheerful !!

ATC's

A very long time ago I was really into making ATC's and have several fab filled albums with fantastic little pieces of art work from other crafters !!  Then it seemed to fizzle out so when I saw Jo had got a little ATC group going I decided to join in and get going again. there is so much you can do with a piece of card 3.5" x 2'5"

Anyway April's theme was add some stitching real or faux. I started with some dictionary paper and coloured it with distress inks to make the background, then stamped and cut out some flowers. I hand pricked the faux stitching and then used a black fine line pen over the holes.  Because bright colours always make me happy I decided to add the word again with a faux stitching border.

And these are the fab little works of art I received back !!

Another new....

Little Claire silhouette stamp which you can find HERE

Don't just think about stamping silhouette stamps in black ink, try them in different colours. I've stamped this sweet owl and hedgehog in Versafine "Coffee" onto white card and then toned it down with a beige spectrum noir pen.

I adore layering loads of different matching patten papers and for this card I've used Trimcrafts "Curiosity Corner" and fussy cut some of the page elements to embellish with.

The sentiment is also a Little Claire stamp from the "Sentiments Mix" set which you will find HERE

Well guys it's friday (whoopeeeeee) so whatever you are doing hope you all have a fabby doo time !!

Can't go wrong

with black and white, it always looks smart and crisp (although my photo is a bit grey as that's what we had here most of the day, dull, wet and windy !! )

Made this cute card using Little Claire's new "Silhouette" stamp set and new Mono Magic paper pack for my friend Nicki who I had tea and cake with on Sunday.

Can't believe the two of us ate all this gorgeous cake between us !!  It was made by Nicki's neighbour Julie and it was beautiful !! This is Nicki's before photo...

So I wanted to make a thank you card for Nicki, she always makes me feel so special and welcome !!
