Rescued turtle

..that's image not the real thing !!

Had a lovely afternoon catching up with my friend Nicki last Sunday who had been making some cards using some cute Woodware animal stamps, but wasn't sure about this little fellow and ended up giving him to me to do something with, so I did !!

I just changed his body colour and added some stitching to his shell and then went to work with lots of layers on my card with pattern paper, jute ribbon, stitched ribbon, loads of faux stitching and yes more bobble trim !!  Fussy cut a grass border and cut the banner using a spellbinders die again adding stitching and some buttons.

Cute or what !!

12 Tags of 2015

As you go along your crafting journey you find your own style and the one you love to do, but you never stop learning.  I am a lover of all crafting styles some I'm better at then others,  but always have a go.

That being that I suddenly decided to have a go at Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2015 !!

Now I'm never going to be good at it,  but it does give me a chance of being creative (playing) with stuff I have in my craft room in ways I would never have thought of using them !!

So here is  my January effect...

You should see my fab multi coloured fingers !!

Wanted to make card to welcome my crafty friend Julie to her new home and seeing I have just got Woodwares stamp called "Your New Home",  it was a good time to use it !!

I really do love paper piecing and fussy cutting !!  The papers I have used are Simple Stories Homespun.

I could never understand why people got to worked up over paper stroking, storing, loving the stuff.....that was until now !!   I adore paper the brighter the better for me !!

Bunnies !!

Most of you know I am a great animal lover,  but perhaps didn't know at one time I had seven rabbits !!

I use to help a friend who owned a rabbit rescue by fund raising and educating children and parents on good rabbit keeping. and of course over the years a few buns came home with me.....

While sorting out my ever increasing stash of stamps,  I can across a set of stamps called "Easter Fun" by Jaqueline Ross for Woodware and decided to make a card using them

I love having a sketch to work from, so this one is this month's sketch by Woodware.  As you can see I have flipped the sketch upside down.

Hand drew the tree stump and then embossed.   Stamped, coloured and then fussy cut out the flowers and bunnies, mounted onto  3D foam tape . Found some cloud background paper and stamped the greeting onto one of the large clouds then cut out and just had to do a bit of faux stitching to finish....

Was it like that for you guys ??

Got a Gruffie card to show you today,  he sure is having a ride of his life !!

Life in the Forest......

Don't get excited,  I haven't moved !!

You know I love anything cute and when I get time to play I make things like this....

( Sorry photo's are rather blue/grey as yesterday it was a VERY dark wet day all day !! )

Life in the Forest is a fab fun Stampin Up set

http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/files/2014/01/133851G-300x300.jpg

Don't laugh I did have to look up the colours of a raccoon....

I stamped and coloured all the images and then fussy cut each one out, coloured a strip of card and fringed to make the grass and then made my cute scenes. The "thanks" is a Hero Art stamp which I hand drew a speech bubble round.

These box cards are really neat as they fold down flat to pop into an envelope for posting !!  But are darn difficult to photo.....

This was a big thank you card for Nicki for the wonderful Joanna Sheen token she gave me to treat myself to some new House Mouse stamps !!

Whooppeeeeee !!

Berry sweet....

and super cute this stamp is,  it's from the HM Autumn Berry set which I was lucky enough to win on Christine's blog when House Mouse and Friends had their blog hop a while ago !!

This card would be great for a Birthday or Thank You or even someone who is feeling under the weather....

The paper are from a Recollections Signature Specials stack called Graceful and I have distressed all the edges with a craft knife, decoupaged the leaves and glazed the berries, then finished off with a crinkled ribbon bow which I made by heating the ribbon with a heat gun.

Sadly I don't know who makes the sentiment stamp because it has some wonderful sentiments on it. Coloured my mice using spectrum noirs....I'm finding there are a lot of for and against with all the different alcohol pens....which ones do you prefer ??

Superwomen !!

no they don't come wearing their red pants over their tights either...

Anyhoo firstly ...

" HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS !! "

Hope you all have a blast last night and not to worse for wear this morning !!  I had a fab time watching the fireworks as I lay relaxing in a fab warm bubbly bath seeing in the new year !! (before any of you get any ideas...I was on my own)

So first of the month means a new Little Claire club stamp set and it's called " Superwomen "

Now how many of you know someone starting a new job, perhaps a high flyer in business ??  I decided to make a rather posh elegant card using papers from my stash, bling swirls, made my flower using a punch and some die cut leaves.

See no red underpants to be seen...but three fabulous women stamps for so many occasions.

My second card is more for the super stay at home mum...just to say thank maybe or perhaps for her birthday.

Its easy to make a paper rosette and punch the edge with a border punch, mine is by Martha Stewart, loads of faux stitching and coloured using spectrum noir pens.

Why not pop over to Little Claires and check these stamps out and have a look at the inspirations page as well !!
