News Flash !!

More goodies have been added to the Little Claire sale including distress inks, paper and card !!

Gardening Birdhouse

is the second new release stamp from Little Claire and you can find it HERE.  All the fab birdhouse stamps sit nicely onto the Changing Birdhouse stand or hang from the branch

It's easy to make a little scene just by taking a white piece of card and inking a cloud effect background, then stamp your stand and birdhouse and colour ( I've used my promarkers) With a couple of green promarkers just flick small lines here, there and everywhere around the bottom of the stand to create grass ( does take a bit ot time ) Then stamp the birdhouse again onto a small piece of white card and fussy cut out the deckchair, flower pot and spade and colour. Decoupage this onto the main image. Finish off by adding a sentiment, some die cut ivy, a die cut fence ( mounted on 3d foam ) and one cute robin !!

Vellum Flowerhead

Morning guys !!

It's my turn for a Little Claire friday project for you and I thought I would show you how to make this pretty card using " Flowerhead " and a sentiment from " Fabulous Day "

You will need:
Flowerhead and Fabulous Day stamps
A pink 6" x 6" card blank
I sheet of vellum
Embossing folder
I  fancy white die cut shape
White embossing powder
White card
Versamark ink pad
Heat gun
Black Versafine ink pad
3D foam
Glue
A few pearls

1: Stamp with versamark and emboss with white powder onto vellum,  3 Flowerheads.

2: Cut out and lightly colour on back of each with pink. I have used Spectrum Noir PL1.

3: Cut a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square of vellum and emboss. You can use any patteren you like. You may find with some embossing folders the vellim will crack, don't worry about it.

4: Die cut any fancy shape you like in white card about 4 1/4" to 4 1/2"  I have used Spellbinders Nestsbilities Luscious Labels. Then stamp sentiment .

5: Glue embossed vellum square onto card front, then mount white fancy square onto 3d foam on top of this. Then using a small piece of 3d foam on each of the flowers arrange and attach around sentiment.

6: Finish off by adding pearls to centres of the flowers and one small one for dot of i on sentiment.

Here's the same card, but I have used two colours of flowers and used a different design embossing folder and small pink pearls.

Why not give Flowerhead vellum flowers a try and see what design you can create !!

My Gift

is one of the 4 New Release stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs !! Such a lovely christmas image.......

I've made a 3D gift pouch out of a 6" x 6" kraft card which you could tuck chocolate, money, tickets, jewellery etc into and give as a present.

You just open up your card and score it at 4 1/2" up from one of the 6" ends to form your pocket.

Don't worry about the middle score line as it will now be covered with paper front and back then embossed. At this point I lightly ink all over with vintage photo distress ink to pick up the embossing detail and then folded up the flap and glued to form the pocket.

The top is decorated with half a doily, lace bow, paper bow, two die cut snow flakes and a button

On the pocket I have die cut a big snow flake and stamped my Happy Christmas,  frilled some lace at the bottom, then die cut 3 christmas tress and sprinkled with thick white embossing powder to look like snow, die cut a fence and two robins and finally stamped and coloured "My Gift" image using Spectrum Noir pens ( for the very first time !!)  used some fine flowersoft around her hood, dress cuff and pom pom, then fussy cut out adding more white embossing power. All has been mounted on 3D foam tape.

Now pop over to the Inspirational Blog and see all the fab projects by the other team members !!

Zesty !!

I love, love, love these zesty colours which can be found in a Kaleidacolor ink pad called "Melon"

The stamp set is an old set called " In The Jungle " by Francoise Read with loads of little element stamps whch I have used to make the side panel which has been inked, stamped and then embossed with black and then  bleach used to hi light area's. I wanted to tone down this panel so sprinkled some more black embossing powder over the top ( it also covers some imperfection , he,he)

I've also used this months sketch by Woodware

Isn't the chameleon cute. As you know I'm into pearls at the mo so had to finish off with a few of  these.....

Today...do what makes you happy

is another of the new fab silhouette stamps by Little Claire!!

Have you checked them out yet ??

Well when you frantage, you seem to go a bit mad with it !!  My poor dog Hugo was off when he realised what I was doing as last time he got covered as well !!

But it sparkles like when light hits the water....and the frantage flakes remind me of fish scales !! Anyhoo...one very blingy fishing card for a Dad.

I've distressed all my paper edges, added a bit of netting, some white hi lights with a gel pen and finished off with one of the sentiments from Rebecca's Really Useful Male set.
