This morning is my very first GDT post for 

Crafty Sentiments Design Challenge  !!

The challenge this week is:

 "STARS"

And here is my first GDT card.

I couldn't resist Hootie " Sleeping Owl " digi stamp,  as you know I love owls  !!

You can find him in the

 Crafty Sentiment Design online shop 

I'm a very keen 3D'er so Hootie and the tree have been raised from the stared night background. I  hand cut the tree and branches then embossed to give them a wood texture.  Hootie was then coloured in with promarkers and I paper piece his blanket and pillow.

A simple card for me, but boy you ought to check out what the rest of the team have done !!  Those girls sure are talented !!

Here is my card for you...

The cute mice are " Holly & Harvey with Mistletoe "  The sentiment is one from the " Merry Christmas Sentiment " set.

Holly and Harvey and the mistletoe have been coloured with promarkers and you just can't have enough glitter on a christmas card, so I've used a glitter paper for the background and glittered the stars on the sentment with stickles and then printed off a few more stars to add to the bottom. Just finished them all off with a pearl for each centre.

Freddie

Don't think my friend Kim does blogs, so I'm OK to show you this !!

Little Freddie is Kim's first grandchild and he was born last Dec, so I thought as part of Kim's Christmas prezzie from me I would make this photo frame of her with Freddie !!

I have recycled some backing card from a paper pack to make the actual frame itself  and

the papers I've used to cover it are by Stampin Up. 

 The flowers I have made using a Sizzix die called Flowers, Daisies #2,  bit fiddly to do but worth making !! The swirls were cut using a Marianne die.  The flower centres are just fringed rolled up card !!

The Woodware set of stamps are called "Forbes and Friends" by Jane Gill which are one of my favourite set of stamps !! Lots of my usual fussy cutting to 3D everything, but this time I have water coloured my images !!

Here is my fab new fall image !!

Isin't Jennie the Scarecrow super cute !!

I'v coloured Jennie in with promarkers to match the papers from Stampin Up. The background looks like a quilt as I have cut up small pieces of paper and arranged a pattern with them, then did faux stitiching round each piece. I used a Hero Arts flower stamp to make the flower which was stamped on two pieces of patterned paper and then layered up.. The swirls were cut using a Marianne die.

I'm always really bad at making my christmas cards for family and friends, so I jumped at the chance to use the "Christmas Tree Trio" images to make this fab card !!

The image is just right to layer up and looks fab just colour in or paper piece .  I have just coloured in with promarkers and added some sparkle with stickles and then layer up each tree band.  To add more depth I have also decoupage the snow and fence !!  The circle chritmas sentiment can also be found at The Crafty Pad Designs.

Tatty Button

Isin't it nice to make a card just because.......you can !!

I haven't used my Tatty Button stamps for ages, so it was great fun to use them again in making this cute easel card

I stamped the wall of the house using the brick wall stamp. The little flowers were made using the woodware punch and then cut and shaped. Used a Marianne die to cut the ivy and a Spellbinder die to cut the leaves for the sunflower..

The sunflower head itself I just hand cut out as I didn't have a stamp !! 

The sentiment is also from the Tatty Button range. Most of the rest is paper pieced and coloured with promarkers. I do love lots of detailing and lots of fussy cutting as you can see !!
