Zentangle

It's Zentangle week over at Woodware !!
Alot of you already know I love Zentangle, so look what I've made using this Woodware flower punch
I cut out several flowers in white card and then coloured them with two distress inks,  scattered straw and dired marigold before cutting the petals out. Then doodled on each one and re arranged them into a flower again. On one flower I didn't cut into petals,  I just doodled on and then cut the centre circle out to make the rolled rose centre of my flower.

Please pop over to the Woodware blog as their team have some really fab creations to show you !!
If you would like to know more about Zentangle then check it out at Zentangle.com

INTERACTIVE !!

Joanie chose our challenge this week at
The Crafty Pad.

#180 INTERACTIVE

Your card must move somehow, be it a pop up, waterfall, slider card, just move !!

One lucky winner gets this fab bundle of ribbons from our fab sponsor
Team A's turn this week to inspire you lucky peeps, so that includes me !!
I chose to play with "Patch Flying"

Made my background paper  using my cloud cut out shape with "Tumble Glass" distress ink, then hand cut a few more clouds and raised them up with foam tape.  As you know "every cloud has a silver lining" so mine had some stickles round !!  Patch was coloured with good old promarkers and then I glazed the plane with glossy accents ( don't tell anyone, but had to do it twice as I cracked the first layer !!)  The finishing touch was some gems round Patch's collar !!

Victorian Lady

Now CAS cards are not easy for me, but sometimes less is more !!

This is the July sketch for Woodwares monthy challenge,

and this is what I did with it !!

Now I will be honest and say the reason it turned out to be a clean and simple card.....was I ran out of  clear embossing powder !! But I think that was probably a good thing.........

The Woodware stamp set is called "Victorian Lady" by Francoise Read. I stamped the images onto white card and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Then used several different colours of distress ink to colour the card, then buffed over the images with a tissue. The lace frill is made from dollies which I coloured again with distress inks, cut out the middle and then pleated round the main image and both sides of the band. Stamped the sentiment, then added the tiny black dots either side of the sentiment and round the oval image and both sides of the band.

A clean and simple card !!

Vintage Floral

This is my vintage floral LO I did at scrap club the other week, but didn't get to finish it till now !!
It's my Grand and Aunty on a seaside trip, but I don't know where it is or when it was taken.  I'm hoping my cousin will know !!
The pocket has a pull out bit with "Remember" on for journling.
We had a selection of ready made flowers, but made the crumpled flowers !!  This is the LO which I used the left over bits and pieces to make the four cards which can be found in another post further down.

Round again....

Made another telescopic card using the white card template I cut for the one yesterday.  I make a template so I can see how much room I have for my images.

The stamp I have used is by Little Claire Desings and it's called "Ever so Lovely" and it really is lovely !!  The little bit of paper I have used behind the images is from the "Bella" paper pack by Wild Rose Studio
Just love my promarkers so the images were coloured in using them. The birthday sentiment is by PI .

This card is going to a very lovely friend......

Have a Wizzing Birthday !!

The challenge this week over at Woodware is "Anything but a Square"

I love making telescopic cards as the design is so simple and there is so much you can do with them.
I've used the Woodware stamp set called "Wizardy" by Francoise Read.  A great set for boys or girls and very Harry Potter !!
I am a fussy cutter and love cutting out all the little bits !!  The dragon , spider,  potion bottle and spells book have all been glazed with glossy accents and all the images coloured in with good old promarkers !!  The dies used are from Spellbinders and Nellies.  I hate loose glitter so always add a bit of sparke with Stickles Diamond which I have used on the spiders webs and stars.
If you would like to have a go at a telescopic card,  then you can find a good tutorial HERE

PS My camera decided to make my background card blue when in fact it's WHITE !!  Don't ask me why.................

I've been published !!

When I won the cardmaking competiton in issue 41 of Creative Cardmaking,  part of the prize is to be invited to join the team for another issue.  This is my piece I did for issue 43 which is in your craft stores now.
As you can see I was given part of the Bexley Black collection by Papermania and had to design four cards.
The forth card can be seen here www.craftsonthenet.com   You do the whole write up from the intro to the instructions !!

This has been a fab challenge for me and it's so strange seeing my work published !!  But this could be YOU !!  All you have to do is make a card using the free papers in the magazine and enter !!

Been at it again....

Sorry.......I just love playing with paper scraps and have been at it again !!

At AMOM scrap club on Saturday we did a fab vintage floral LO which I will show you later as it just needs a title to finish it, but as usual I had a few scraps left over......
Look what I have made with them........The first two cards I have used the waste from die cuts, one to make a background the other to frame my sentiment.
The only things I have added are the base card, a stamped sentiment and one button, everything else is scraps !!   We made crushed flowers for our LO's,  but had pearls for the centres,  I just rolled up some of the scraps to make centres on these flowers.

The only thing I have left is the postcard and that will go on another project......

At The Seaside

Oh dear, boys and girls.......where on earth has our summer gone !!

Perhaps The Crafty Pad Challenge this week can lift your spirits a bit !! Our challenge theme is "At The Seaside" this week and want to see anything to do with the seaside on your projects !!

We have TWO sponsors  with TWO fab prizes up for grabs !!

Letraset with a set of mid tone promarkers
And The Stamping Boutique with 3 digi images

All the DT's from Team A got to play with some fab images from The Stamping Boutique and being on Team A I got to play with "Summer Laundry Line"

Doesn't this image just bring back all those happy seaside hols you have had, walks along the beach in the warm sunshine, watching the world go by.........

I printed off the image twice so I could decoupage the washing line. All was coloured in with promarkers even the background. The fence is cut using a Marianne die and the sentiment "Life's a Beach" is from The Crafty Pad Designs. You can't see on the photo, but I have glazed the bucket, spade, ball and the lenses of the sunglasses.

So pop over to The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog to see what all the other team members have to inspire you and cheer yourself up by having a go at our challenge !! You might be a WINNER !!
