Fit to BURST !!

Well girls have have been bursting to tell you and now I can.......I won the card competiton in  Creative Cardmaking and now its in the magazine !! The photo frame card was made using the Pink Gem Design papers. I thought it would be nice to send a Grandma a photo of her grandsons Birthday or perhaps first day of school in.

Sorry I did what I did last time I entered and was a runner up...I forgot to take my own photo`s of my card !! Anyway I have won £50 to spend on crafting goodies and Christina who I'm sure is thrilled,  gets £50 credit on her Practical Publishing account !!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

And boy have we had some April showers !!  The poor dogs and I have been getting VERY WET on our walks !!

This week it is turn of the DT`s from Team A, so thats includes me !!  For my sample I have made a scrapbook page using the fab Crafty Pad Design digi "Rose" and fab paper pack "White and Black Delight"   

I decided to go all out and do the sketch and loads of flowers !!  I have decoupaged the roses and added a few more leaves and they have all been coloured in with good old promarkers !!  I`ve added a bit of stitching round the boarder using a Bazil template and thread and yes it is surpose to be wonky stitching......Carol is a crafting friend of my sisiter-in-law and we all met up now and then to have a crafty day together.

My brother thought.....

My brother thought I might like a challenge to make him a card to reply to the wedding invite he had had from one of his friends !! So this is what I made.....

The suit is black with a stripy shirt and pink tie and hanky ( made with ribbon), but the inside is grey with a pocket for the RSVP.  Clean and simple, but very smart !!

Waking Up Birdie

Waking Up Birdie is this really cute digi stamp from Robyns Fetish.

 Robyns Fetish Blog Challenge theme is Spring this week, so I desided to enter using this fab birdie image !

Most of you know now I love paper piecing and chose to use these fab spring colour dotty papers from Crafts-Too Designer Paper pack. I`m not very keen on doing a flat image card so I made the door open on the birdie house so I could write my own greetings on the inside. Most of you will also know I love fiddley cutting out !! So I have decoupaged some of the flowers and the little bird. Just a really sweet card.....

Big Boys and Little Boys

Wether their big or small I`m sure the boys would love this Monster card !! The men in our lives can be soooo hard to make a card for, but this one is easy....

First all you need is to choose the stamps you would like to use. Mine are a set by Woodware called "Little Monsters" designed by Francoise Read. To fit my monsters, I cut eight 1 6/8 circles round a piece of card using a die. Then I embossed the piece of card using a brick design embossing folder. Inked round all the edges. On one of the cut out circles I then stamped my Birthday sentiment and stuck it in the middle. Now comes the surgery.....but no blood !! Decide where and how much of your monsters you want to show and then stick them in place and remove all body parts you don`t want !! Then put 3d foam tape on back and stick on front of your card. To add more fun I have put wobbly eyes on the monsters !!

I`ll let you into a secret.........my card is for a BIG boy, well actually my cousins hubby !!

I printed out several times the image so I could decoupage Daisy and the flowers to use on my side stepper card. Then I have coloured them in with promarkers. Used just a few BUTTONS for some of the flower centres. The little fence is a Marianne die. As yoiu can see I also love cutting out !! All the flowers are from the main image......

Woodware

The monthly sketch challenge at Woodware is this:

 My poor camera is really giving up the ghost now, so sorry about poor photo......

For my card I have used the stamp set called "Owl Greetings" by Francoise Read. I just love my owls !!

I like to look at a sketch differently to others and thought I would make a little scene. All the owls have been paper pieced and 3D, plus I have stamped and cut out all branches and leaves. They have been coloured in with promarkers. The ivy trails I have cut using a Marianne die. The wood effect frame has been embosed with a cuttlebug folder.

Easter cards

Well was given my first Easter Egg today !! Have had to leave it in my car becuase if I bring it in then I MUST eat it !! Well don`t you ??

Anyway here are my easter cards for friends and family. Top tip...keep them simple when you are batch making as it makes it much easier for you.

Made yours then ? For mine I have used PI Springtime "tinches" stamps and a daisy embossing folder. SIMPLE.....

It`s Egg-tastic !!

Well it must be nearly Easter as our theme this week at The Crafty Pad is "It`s Egg-tastic" !! We want to see anything that comes from an egg (ie  ducks, chicks ect) or lays an egg on your fab creations !!
