Birthday Boy !!

Today is my nephews birthday !! Happy 23rd Birthday Robert !! This is the card I have made him....(don`t tell him, but he won`t get his card till tomorrow !!)

The paper I have used is by Dovecraft and the stamps by Hero Arts !! I love Hero Art Stamps !!

Craft Stamper

Hope you are all enjoying you christmas hols as I am still !!( Sorry if you have already returned to work !!)

Anyway, January`s Craft Stamper mag has a free fab Chantecleer the Cockerel Stamp which I love !! The stamp is by Rainbow Studios I was inspired by designers Rachel May, Joanne Allison and Faye Wynn-Jones to make my cards.

The first card I have paper pieced the cockerels using papers from Wildrose Studio.

The second tag card is my favourite !! My crafty friend Anna gave me a lovely small christmas present of some tags and sentiment frames cut from craft card from a Tim Holtz die !!

For my third card I have again paper pieced the cockerel with papers from Basic Grey Wassail paper pad. The flower is just a strip of matching card which I cut into all along one edge and then rolled up !!

For my last card I have made my version of Joanne Allisons design which is in the mag. For mine I have used paper from Basic Grey Pyrus paper pad which has been woven just at the left hand corner. The cockerel has been coloured in with promarkers.

I hope you have been inspired to have a play with this fab stamp as I was !!

Little Felix

I have a smashing friend called Sue, who looks after and loves a pretty feral cat called Little Felix. It`s taken Sue years to build up a trust between them to a point were she can fuss Little Felix only to have it ruined by a dog attack in her garden earlier this year, but with lots of love from Sue, she has again built up the trust between them. Thought I just show you a little gift I made Sue, this cute wall hanging of Little Felix......

Telescopic Card

One of our card club challenges at AMOM is to make a telescopic card. These are great fun to make and if you would like to have a go, just have a look on Youtube. You will find loads of tutorials on how too.

For mine I have used stamps by Hero Arts and several spellbinders and nellie dies. They can be made with any shape, just have a play....

My top tip is: When using double sided tape, wear it on your wrist like a bangle and you won`t loose it or drop it on the floor like I use too !!

Well this is the last challenge for 2011 at The Crafty Pad; Anything BUT Christmas.
The challenge will end on 27th Dec and the winner will be announced on 28th Dec, so you have a bit longer to enter.

Holiday Colour Combo !!

The lovely girls at Our Creative Corner have asked me to be their Guest Designer for this week !! How fab is that !! The challenge is being hosted by Anne Marie Hile.

" Holiday Color Combo - Create a card or papercraft project with the colours Soft Sky OR Pool Party, Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White and it has to have SPARKLE!

I love the soft colours, but did wonder about the real red, but it looks fab on the christmas gift box I have made !!

My box has a cellophane window in the lid and the cute mice and sentiment ticket are Debbies digi images from The Crafty Pad Designs and are called "Holly and Harvey" I cut all the snowflakes on my cricut and glitter them all with stickles to add my sparkle !! For the punched bands I used one of Maratha Stewerts punches.

Card Club

Saturday was card club at AMOM and we made these two fab cards.

The peacock card was designed by Francoise Read a designer for Woodware and the set of stamps is called "Proud Peacock". We did Francoise technique with painting with Sakura stardust pens. Very relaxing colouring in.....

The second card was a simplified card using the remaining images in the stamp set.

Send Someone A Smile

Well are you ready for CHRISTMAS then ?? I`m nearly there....

Right then.....this weeks challenge 151 at The Crafty Pad is: "Send Someone A Smile" We all forget to send a card or gift "just because" so this week we want you to make a card or project which is NOT Birthday or Christmas. So why not make something to brighten up someones day and you could win a prize !!

Our sponer this week is Creative Craft World and they are giving you £5 to spend online instore !! There must be a something you would like !!

I have made this week a calender for myself, well we all need a prezzie now and then !! I have used Debbies fab "Rainbow Sally" digi stamp.

The background has been made with 3/8" strips of paper laid out in a pattern, very easy to do and you can used all your scraps of paper up !!

Rainbow Sally and the flowers have been coloured in with promarkers( must use something else next time) and I have decoupaged Sallys head to bring her forward a bit. Then glazed her shell to make it shiny.

Little Claire

Little Claire is one of my favourite sites for lovely images and I love taking part in their challenges. This months is a "shaped card".

The stamps I have used to make my card are called " Pretty Garden" and has the cutest bee on !!

The papers are by Wildrose Studio. And guess what....I`ve made another rosette flower !! I have used alot of sparkle on the bee`s wings and round the flowers and the water from the watering can, but sadley it doesn`t show up in the photo. I have coloured it all in with good old promarkers.

Snow Dogs

At Scrap Club at AMOM, we always have a challenge for each month. This months was to do another LO using Christina`s design from last Scrap Club on any theme. So here is my "Snow Dogs" LO for the challenge...

This was Dec last year when we had all the snow !! My dogs LOVED IT !! The frame has been wrapped with three types of ribbon. Then I cut loads of snowflakes and glittered them.

Intruder ALERT !!

The intruder just had to be delt with straight away !! If he thinks he can move in and claim the sofa, he has another thing coming !!

Thats told him...now I`ll finish him off !!

Taz (13) then tries to drag the intruder upstairs, but he wasn`t having any of it and stood his ground in the hall !! (Taz just couldn`t pull him up the stairs and gave up) Hope it made you smile as it made me this morning !!

This week I got to play with "Holly Mouse" hanging her stocking . She is so cute !! I know I`m saying it myself, but I love my card !!

I`m never very keen on a flat image so I have decoupaged Holly. The papers are from Wildrose Studio which came free with a magazine. You can`t see on the photo, but I have used glossey accents on the clock, candles and book stack. And yes I have made three rosette flowers ( I LOVE THEM !!) Festive Cheer !!

Morning girls and what a nice morning here in Bucks we have !!

The challenge this week at The Crafty Pad is: FESTIVE CHEER We want to see traditional colours of red, green, gold and silver which we all love to see on our cards at this time of year.

All the DT got to play with Debbies fab Christmas Mug images which include a Rudolph, Penguin, Snowman and Father Christmas

I played with the Penguin who is really cute. I enlarged the imade as big as I could, printed it off and then stuck it onto another piece of card folded and cut round the image to make the card base making sure to leave a small folded piece on the left hand side to make the spine of the card. The image was coloured in with good old promarkers and some glossey accents added to the spots on the mug. The froth on top of the mug is Pearly Stuff from Woodware. I made a pocket inside and popped a couple of chocky drink mixes and there you have it, a card and small gift all in one !!

Dog biscuits !!

The DT all had the fab digi stamp called "Snow Couple" to play with from Debbie, so this was a must for a Christmas card from me !!

I just love easel cards and how I kept this card white I will never know as me and white card just don`t go!!
The sentiment is from Debbie as well, but it does have a rose in the middle, but I just went over the black print with a white gel pen and the made a snowflake to go on top !! I just love the lace effect on my rosette !!

Well its a very dreary day today and chilly !! What sort of day have you got then ?? Anyway last Saturday at Scrap Club we did this lovely Autumn LO. We all chose what backing paper we wanted to use and the colours for our leaves which were then punched out or die cut.. Texture was added to the leaves with stamping, embossing, inking, distressing etc.

Hiya girls..

How`s your week going then ?? I have got soooooo much going on at mo, I am really behind on so many things !! Hence late post on this lovely LO I did on Saturday at AMOM. Its very distressed like me , but I love it. Its a photo of my Aunt and Uncles wedding which was hand tinted by either my dad (who is not in the photo) or his other bother who is on the left . The colours on the photo are pale green and pink which go lovely with the papers.

I decided to make this exploding memory box. My late Dad loved watches so I will put some photos of him in it.

All the watches have been raised and glazed and then a bow of ribbon on top. The outer paper has been crumpled and then aged inked and some of the inner panels have been run through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder of watches and cogs and then inked over the top to bring out the embossing.

Went to another Stampin Up party the other night and we made this fab card !! Michelle who is the Stampin Up rep always gives us fab ideas and choice, so all our cards were different in colours. I stamped the trees twice to make the scene and then it was water coloured in which is soooooo relaxing !! My card is off today to cheer up a 94 year old lady. Please remember, cards don`t have to be for an occasion and can make someones day !!

Back view

As soon as I saw this window card on Hero Arts Blog I knew I had to make my version of one !! You can find Hero Arts video for their halloween card HERE (you`ll have to scroll down to bottom of page and click on older posts)

It`s amazing what you can do with a bit of white card 4" x 12" !!

I started by stipling the background sky and grass front and back. Then stamped the trees in using a stamp by Hero Arts. I stamped out all the animals and flowers on another piece of white card using a set from Hero Arts, coloured them in and then cut them out, then layed them on to make the scene. Finally stamped the bunting on white card using a free Molly Bloom stamp from Simply cards & papercraft magazine, coloured it in and stuck on top of my card all way round !!

Usually I can give my work away, but for the very first time.....this one is staying with me !!

Black and White

Septembers challenge over at Little Claires is Black and White.

I`ve made my very first rocking card and low and behold I got everything centred. I`ve used Little Claires "Sweet Fairy" set and she is very cute even in black and white with a little bit of fairy dust which you have to have !!

And yes yet more rosette flowers....I love them and they fit in with any project !!

The DT team have come up with some fab cards using Debbies digi stamp sewing machine and elements. For my card I have used the machine and all the elements. I`ve cut out squares of two tone papers and made a patchwork effect for my backing paper and then did alot of faux stitching all around. I then embossed it with a folder in my fab cuttlebug , added ribbon all round the edge to make it look abit like a quilt.

So can`t wait to see what you lovely girlies come up with, but most of all........have fun !!

I`m a member of the Guinea Pig Haven forum and now and then we have an auction to raise funds for guinea pig rescues. This time the money raised is going to " Cavycorner" and Little Brambles" rescues. All the auction lots are donate and some are handmade. I spent the morning with Lindsay Mason !! ( with alot of other ladies....) Lindsay came and spent the day with us at A Maze of Memories. She demo`ed all day with make and takes thrown in as well !! We all had the same kits and stamps to use to make our card, but everyones was different. My take on the card we did is above. Lindsay is a lovely lady and nothing is too much. She really is inspiring to watch and you can learn alot from her !! Thanks Linsay for a fun morning........

At scrap club on Saturday we made this lovely LO using Basic Grays Granola paper. I love the colours of these papers !! My LO is of Barb, a lady who`s hair I do every friday afternoon. She is a lovely lady, but try as I might I just couldn`t get her to smile......

Those of you who know me...know I challenge myself to use up any left over paper from a project, so I managed with some bits from my crafty friend Tracy, to make two lovely cards and then from the tiny scraps, three gift tags !! Never throw your scraps away !!

So here is my very first DT card....the image is called "Jeremy Popping Round" and isin`t he one very cute giraffe !! I`ve printed off the image twice so I could decoupage Jeremys neck and head and the grass.I masked off the image to do my inked sky before I decoupaged. All has been coloured in with promarkers. The big leaves were cut on my cuttlebug using a cuttlebug die and then inked with several colours. I then pricked the holes round all the edges to do the faux stitching. To finish it off I then added four buttons on the tree.

Well what do you think then........

Monster Birthday !!

This weeks fun challenge at Woodware UK is a sketch by Dorothy. I`ve made this fun Moster card for a little boy using the set of stamps by Woodware called "Little Monster" by Francoise Read. I stamped the background with the numbers you get in the set with clear ink. Sadley I had to cut the legs off the monsters to fit under the centre oval, but no one would ever know....... Just a fun, bright and cheerful card !!

Made for a crafty friend using one of the new Woodware stamps called Woodland House by Francoise Read. Thanks Anna for the use of your stamp !! The paper is by Wildrose Studio. The sign is from another Woodware set called "Gone Fishing" I think and I just wrote "Sold" on it. I just wrote "Home Tweet Home" on as well and added a couple of little blue birds. The fence is just a piece of card scored and then a point cut at the top to make it look like a fence and then drawn the gate in.

Box Photo Frame

My brother decided I might like to so something with his box that held a promotional coaster in, so bought it home for me !! And this is what I did......I`ve turned it into a boys box photo frame. I`ve used George from Molly Bloom on the front and inside. I`ve stamped the star off George`s jumper several times and cut them out to put inside the big stars which were cut from the design on the paper. The lovely poem I found online. The paper I have used is from Fancy Pants and is called Papa.

Shelly sheep and Twitter

Last week I was nearly last to enter the challenge, so this week I thought I would be FIRST !! The Crafty Pad Challenge this week is "Distressing and Tearing" right up my street !! The image I have used this time is "Shelly Sheep and Twitter" by Debbie. Torn round most edges and inked or distressed with a knife. Embossed a piece of whitewash core`dinations and then sanded and then put behind Shelly and Twitter. Then decoupaged Shellys head and Twitter just to raise them a bit..... And yes more rosette flowers because I like them !!

The Crafty Pad challenge this week is a "Shaker Card". I`ve used Debbies "Penny Pamper" image and made it very girly !! I think it was worth cutting out all the acetate circles and glittering them with stickles to make tham look like bubbles to go in my shaker card !! The paper is by Wildrose Studio and I have cut out some of the roses and decoupaged them and put some on the shaker frame. I think the lovely colours make this card !!

This is a "Funny Fold" because it`s really an envelpoe and a card all in one !! I used Woodwares stamp sets "Gone Fishing" and "Lazy Days" both by Francoise Read. I`ve stamped Pike and Perch over the paper. All the images are coloured in with promarkers and paper is by Basic Grey. A fun card for the man who loves fishing....

Bazoo Box ??

What do you do with an empty Bazoo Box......turn it into a lovely Molly Bloom photo frame with calendar and draw underneath !! A few of us were challenged by Christina to turn these empty boxes into works of art !! The box is the normal lift off lid type, but made mine into a box with a pull out draw !! Wish now I had taken photos as I went along, but I was enjoing myself too much to stop !! And yes....yet more rosette flowers !! The paper I have used is called "Sew Cute-Nothing But Buttons" by my Little Shoebox.

Would like to enter it into The Paperlane Challenge which is Shades of Sunshine.

The fun challenge this week at Woodware Uk is "Take 2 Colours". As you can see my colours are white and blue !! I love my polar bears who come from the Woodware set called" Polar Bears" by Francoise Read. You punch holes in the dark blue card for the snow and then mat on your white card base.I have then glittered them. Then you rip and tear white card and put several layers for the snow at the bottom and then glitter the edges. The bears have been stamped on white card and then cut out and decoupaged on the card. Then I have just punched out three snowflakes and glittered then as well ( can`t have enough glitter on a Christmas card !!)and then put a little gem in the centre.

Made this lovely easel card for "Little Claires" challenge which is "Wedding/Anniversary" theme. I love making the rossette flowers and have gone a bit over board with these !! The wheelbarrow image is a stamp by Little Claire and is coloured in with promarkers and decoupaged up. In this stamp set you also get a flower pot with flower and a hedgehog in a boot !!

A Gem of a Challenge 27: White on White

For me "White on White" spells Christmas !! So the lovely Pink Gem Snowman was a must !! I`ve put my card on two backgrounds because the blue one you can see the detail a bit better. My snowflakes were cut on the cricut and then glittered. The snowman/snow-woman was coloured in with promarkers and then 3d. The four background squares have been put through my cuttlebug with the large dots and the smaller dots folders.

Yesterday at Scrap Club we made this fab layered LO !! The photo is of my brother and our other brothers boys. On the LO we had to use a mask, mists, stamps, punches and do a corner !! Lovely and messy using the mist and everything got truely covered !! Anyway its a bit hard to see all the things in my photo`s. We all had two pieces of white card and then had to choose another piece of coloured card. Great fun !!

As usual made the tags with what I had left over...its amazing what you can make with little bits of white and blue card !!

I am a very lucky girl to have won this lovely stamp from "Little Claires". Its called "Cold, Crisp Kisses" and is by Red Gingham designs and can be found HERE

My card has been paper pieced and then glittered. Then I decoupaged the middle tree. The stamp is very detailed so I will try next time just colouring in the tree and then glitering, you`ve got to have some glitter on a christmas tree !!

You may remember a while back we had a day with Lindsay Mason at AMOM and made the card at the top. Well I also made this LO using the same technique as the card to make the background and castles. I made it for one of the Scrap Club Challenges. Its of my cousins husband who always wears shorts all year round !! The photo was taken on Christmas Day a few years back and his paper hat looks like a crown. The only thing it needs to finish it off is a silhouette stamp of Father Christmas in his sleigh flying accross the moon.......I haven`t got one !

Last Saturday we had a class at AMOM of Christmas Cards, my very first this year !! The stamp set used is "Tipsy Tree" by Jane Gill and I think I am right in saying the cards are Jane Gills designs as well. These are my cards which I have glittered up, added some paper pieceing and faux stitching.

As you know I LOVE using up my bits left over and managed to make 10 gift tags this time as well !!

My card this week fits both Woodware USA Challenge: Happy Birthday and the Woodware UK Challenge: Bunch of Flowers. I`ve made a twisted easel card using the Woodware stamp set called "Ted Remembers" by Francoise Read. Ted is holding only one flower on the stamp, so I masked and stamped the flower two more times so it looks as if she is holding a bunch, then decoupaged one more flower on top. Stamped just the flower several more times and cut them out to lay round ted and more to use as the stop at the bottom. Again coloured in with promarkers. Love the cute little ladybug !!

Pink Gem Challenge 23: Bloomin Charmin

Here is my card for Pink Gems Challenge which you can find HERE The stamps from Janice at Pink Gem Designs are very cute and again you can do alot with them. I have stamped the cat image several times to decoupage the cat and flower pot. Then stamped just the butterfly on one flower and two on the greetings. The little charm was actually a brad, but I punched a hole in it to make it into a charm because it has a little cat face on it. The image has been coloured in with good old promarkers.

Yesterday at scrap club we did a childrens LO with punched holes, eyelets, buttons etc. My LO is of my nephews when they were small. The eldest boys has aspergers and I use to have them once a month for the whole weekend to give my sisiter-in-law and brother a small break.

I used the Woodware set of stamps called " Garden Babies" by Francoise Read which I love, they are so cute !! I re-stamped the image and just cut out the flowers to decorate the two sides and it is then coloured in with promarkers and a bit of stickles glitter glue then added.

Today`s my Birthday and I`ve had a lovely day at "Hearing Dogs forThe Deaf " annual summer fate !! Alot of you won`t know I have severe hearing lost. I had my first hearing aid in 1980 and then the second one in 2000 after meningitis and now have little hearing left, but hear Ok with aids. I am a great supporter of Hearing Dogs as I love dogs and might need one later on myself. Anyway Frank Bruno opened the fate and was a good sport to all us jo public in taking photos !! There was ferret racing( I love ferrets), terrier racing, stalls galore, loads of demos in the main ring of all sorts of assistance dogs and loads and loads of fun to be had !! And soooooo many lovely dogs to cuddle and pet !! FAB !!

CYDA Challenge 21: Farthers Day/ Special Man theme.

So I am entering "Basil" from a new range of cling stamps from Trimcraft and this one is from "Happy Harvest" set which I have just got. I had three goes at the sepia look before I think I got it right !! The large carrot was hand drawn and stamped with "happy birthday" and the backing paper is from basic grey.

This is my last GDT card for Woodware USA Challenge Blog for the month of May. This weeks challenge is "Use A Forgotten Embellishment " . Now I must be honest as my lovely bone shaped paper clip wasn`t forgotten, just didin`t want to use them !! My crafty friend Julie gave me them a while ago, so I have used ONE on my card. The stamp set I have use is called "Man`s Best Friend" by Franoise Read. I`ve paper pierced the dogs, embossed the fence with a folder through the cuttlebug and cut the little flowers out from a piece of patterened paper.

On Saturday at AMOM we had a day with Lindsay Mason. Lindsay is a fun designer with loads of inspiring ideas. Her new stamps are just up my street and we got to do a "make and take" with some of them. The make and takes were a bit rushed, but fun. Poor Lindsay must have been very tired by the end of the day.....

The top card is my "make and take" and the one below is one I made at home. Must buy some more stamps as they all mix and match so I can do more with them !!

The free stamp on Junes "Craft Stamper" mag is really cute. Its designed by Cuddly Buddly. I just had to buy the mag for the stamp and set straight away in making these three simple cards.

Stampin Up

The other evening a friend invited me to a "Stampin Up" party at her house. I knew alot about Stampin Up products, but never seen or played with their products before. There has been alot about Stamin Up on the craft forums lately about their stamps being very pricey, but they are no more expensive than the other leading brands and are of the highest quality and therefore easy to stamp with. We got to do a "make and take" and made this sweet pocket and tag to either use on a LO or a card. It was alot of fun so if you get the chance to go to one of these parties...GO !!
