I had a lovely little prezzie this week from Christina !! Its this lovely dog stencil from Heritage Handcrafts. So today I have had a play with it and made this cute card. (One little tip..it helps if you have it the right way round when you use it DOH !! )
Yesterday we made a lovely simple set of cards and matching box at AMOM. Christina had done her cards portrait, but I did mine landscape instead. Now me and white card don`t go together as everyone knows, BUT black cordinations as well what could I expect, but dirty marks where there shouldn`t have been !! Hay, ho a set of cards I did. Flowers were stamped out on the reverse of the cordination card and the rest was put through the cuttlebug and the edge torn. The envelopes were also stamped with a flower. Altogether a lovely set.
Two stages of making my card out of leftovers and I do mean leftovers !!
This months card club was a card with an "Instant Crackle Effect" The first card is the basic card design, but you could use any design corner punch and any combo of colours on your card and crackle effect. To get the crackle effect you first paint your square of chipboard with a colour of your choice of acrylic paint and dry it with heat gun. Then you did a layer of PVA glue (but don`t dry it) and then another layer of acrylic paint. Then heat with the heat gun and watch the cracks appear !! FAB !! Then with a choice of your stamp design stamp image on top !! I played about with the design of the other cards as you will see. It really works well with the two smaller cards as well.
Well I have just said I`m not really a scrapper and here I am doing two LO`s !! Yesterday was Scrap Club at AMOM the first Saturday one and we had to bring a photo of ourselves. Mine were not good, but hay ho...we had a template to go by, but could interpret it as we liked, but we had to do some stitching, make own embelishments and journaling. I decided in the afternoon to do another LO using the same temple, rash I know.....the class was good fun !!
As most of you know I don`t class myself as a scrapper because of lack of photo`s, but I do like having a go and this is one of my "having a go" efforts !! When Christina had the Christmas Day at AMOM, every customer was treated to a free background page, there were three designs to choose from and I chose the flowery one.Its watercolour paper, so I cut the middle out of the page and used it to make the flowers and title and watercloured them. It`s a special day as we rarely went out on a day trip as a family as my dad was selfemployed and worked all hours god gave him.....
